The Cardinal Gates Stairway Special Safety Gate (Model SS-30) is the maximum safety gate for pets. As its name indicates . this gate is designed for top-of-stairway or bottom-of-stairway use but is great for all indoor areas. It features a latch that allows one-handed operation. The gate can swing open in either direction. A stop bracket (optional to use but included) prevents the gate from opening out over the stairs . for greater safety. The Stairway Special Safety Gate will mount at angles up to 30 degrees allowing location of a stud when mounting on drywall. Temporary removal of the Stairway Special Safety Gate is fast and easy . without having to unscrew the wall-mounted hardware. The gate is constructed of aluminum which is lighter weight than steel yet extremely durable. A powder-coated finish provides a long lasting . easy-to-clean surface. Two different size width extensions are available: 10-1/2 in. and 21-3/4 in. . each sold separately. The indoor Stairway Special is available in White or Black.
